This is such a beautiful historical hotel, each room has a unique touch. The court yard is gorgeous with items that must be 400 years old on display with such class. The staff are all so kind and attentive. It is close to the centre of town.

I love this place. I don't need a TV and the gardens are precious. The restaurant staff could be more visible. We where unable to eat here because of this. However, plenty of restaurants near by.

Our stay at Hotel Torres was exceptional! The staff were super friendly and helpful and met all of our needs. The family is very proud of their heritage which is evident in the care they take of the grounds, the rooms, bar and restaurant. The kitchen was modern and clean. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. Each room was designed and decorated with a theme in mind and was very tastefully done with vintage and family heirloom furnishings. It was truly old-style Mexico which is what we were looking for. Sr. Torres was so pleasant and we loved his humor and wittiness. He spent time with us, sharing stories and family history of the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the native dance show, an authentic cultural experience.

This was an interesting experience, for sure. This is an old hacienda repurposed into a hotel. I'm unsure, but think that the room doors may be original though they certainly are old and unique. The courtyard is flowery and calming. They have a bar and restaurant on site. I would give them 3 stars for these, but I'm feeling generous today. The fact that they had a waiter behind the bar would be trivial if he had at least been provisioned correctly. He has no mixers to speak of. No tonic, flat Coke, flat Squirt, no juices. There was just enough Jack Daniels to make one drink and no other whiskeys, though they had about 8 Scotch brands. Dinner was good, but no protein on the poblano pepper pasta left me hungry later. The rooms are very, very dark as there are no windows and I was unsurprised to stumble upon a roach in the bathroom as the doors are basically open to the outside. Sheets were clean, staff were kind, overall a good place is you're in town.

The Hotel Torres is a unique and exceptional place to stay. A beautiful old hacienda transformed in a hotel. Each room is unique in a beautiful Mexican style. The courtyard, restaurant and bar are gorgeous. The food was really good and the personal were kind and attentive. The location is excellent very close to downtown, restaurants and to the El Fuerte Museum.

We stayed overnight and had dinner and breakfast at this historic hacienda, which is over 400 years old. It's amazing! It was like stepping back in time. Great location, within easy walking distance of the square, the church, the government palace and the fort. We felt safe and pampered. Highly recommend.

This boutique hotel is a real gem. Each room has its own unique design and character, and the colonial architecture throughout the property is absolutely beautiful. The gardens are stunning — definitely one of the highlights. You can tell how much love and care went into creating them, and I learned that the owner, who was on-site and very welcoming, personally helps curate and manage them. There’s a comfortable outdoor area with fans that make the heat totally manageable, so it’s easy to relax outside with a drink. The quirky bar even has a water well feature — a really fun and unexpected touch. The whole place feels like a home away from home, with such warm, friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome (we were greeted with margaritas!). It’s family-owned and run, and you can really feel that personal touch everywhere. Between the garden, the design, and the hospitality, it’s also a great spot for families. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something special and full of character.

Stayed here with my daughters on the way up and back from Copper Canyon, it is a very original place, definitely not the type of hotel you expect to find in El Fuerte. This is an old family mansion renovated into a beautiful boutique hotel where all rooms have their own theme. Our meals were at Bonifacio's Gourmet Restaurant, where the dining room was an old chapel. The meals were just amazing, their local dish langustinos with a white wine-cilantro sauce is something I still crave. The local tours, a guided city walk and the river & hieroglyph were just amazing. The whole Copper Canyon Tour and all travel arrangements were made by Torres Travel Company who also operates out of the hotel.
